hello ladies!
i'm so glad we're starting this little club.
for our first order of business, we need to choose a book to read! if you will, please vote in the poll over in the sidebar - i used your suggestions from last sunday, as well as some other books that are noted "book club books." if you have any more suggestions, feel free to leave them in the comments of this post. you can pick more than one, too - i'm hoping to make a reading calendar/schedule for the next few months or so, so we can all be prepared.
our first meeting is scheduled for thursday, february 24th at 7:30 p.m., at kim halbom's house. we'll announce more details as it gets closer.
for now, let's plan to have this blog be the main source of info for all things book club. i'll make everyone an admin so we can all post things - discussions, questions, etc.

I'm so excited for book club. I didn't get the list that went around but I want to suggest "The Help" by Kathryn Sockett.
ReplyDeleteI totally second that Katey!! "The Help" was amazing! I also liked "The Secret Life of Bees" by Sue Monk Kidd. "Snowflower and the Secret Fan" is good -- that's by Lisa See. Last, but definitely not least is an amazing book (and a classic) "The Hiding Place" by Corrie Ten Boom.
